Already, the cost of child care is pushing working families to the breaking point—statewide, families are paying $14 billion a year just to care for their kids. At the same time, Trump’s federal budget has slashed SNAP, Medicaid, and funding for public hospitals, putting workers and their families at risk. We can’t afford another round of cuts. What happens in Albany this winter will determine whether working people get real relief or face deeper austerity. We have until April to build enough pressure to win a state budget that funds universal child care, protects essential services, and raises the revenue our communities need.",
