	"description": "Join the Divest Philly from the War Machine Coalition for this Grassroots Lobbying 101 Workshop on Saturday, January 25 at 2:00pm! This event is a hybrid event, both in-person at the Independence Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia and on Zoom. When you get register, you will receive the Zoom link to tune in online. In this workshop, we will cover how to lobby your elected officials at the local, state, and national level, including how to write letters, make phone calls, and hold meetings with your representatives. These skills can be applied to any cause, including advocating for climate justice and a peaceful, nuclear-free world. After honing our lobbying skills, we&#x27;ll hear from representatives from local campaigns, including Divest Philly, to learn about current action opportunities. Join us on January 25 to learn how to skill up as an activist and take action locally to address the existential crises of our times. Organized by: Divest Philly from the War Machine, a coalition of 29 organizations in Philadelphia advocating to divest Philadelphia&#x27;s Pension Fund from investments in nuclear weapons.",
