	"description": "A special event for newer Green Party members (and anyone who wants to get more involved) to meet each other, share ideas, and find out how to get more actively involved in Hastings Green Party - so we can make our town even better for people and planet. And if you have a friend who’s interested, even if they are not (yet) a member, bring them along! Hastings Green Party now has over 900 members, most of us joining in the last few months. That&#x27;s around one in every hundred residents of the town, committed to hope, equality, and a green future - just think what we could achieve! In this event, you will hear about the achievements of the Hastings Greens, culminating this year in winning 16 council seats and 42% of the popular vote. You&#x27;ll hear from experienced and new Green Party councillors, as well as from new members sharing their positive experiences of taking part in door knocking and leafleting. There will also be time to meet each other, and share your ideas for how to make Hastings Green Party even better - for ordinary (and extraordinary!) people who want to contribute in their communities, reject division, and make a real change. Provisional programme: 11 am: Arrive, tea and coffee, meet other Green Party members and supporters 11:15 am: Introductions, get to know each other 11:30 am: How we won in Hastings! Short talks from campaign coordinators, and your questions and reflections. 12pm: Snack break, informal chat. 12:15: How we can win bigger next time! Short talks from councillors and new activists, and your ideas. 12:45: What next? 1pm: Finish This is a special event for members and their guests only - so please book your place. Each attendee is welcome to bring a friend, family member, colleague or neighbour who supports the Green Party and is interested to find out more. Children welcome (we will bring some colouring materials to share, and feel free to bring anything to keep them happy - but they don’t need to be silent!)
