	"description": "We are campaigning for ambitious climate action in Merton and beyond. In May 2024 over 45% of voters in England will be able to vote for local constituents and the Mayor of London. This gives us an opportunity to hear candidates plans for our local climate, nature and society. Let&#x27;s bring our community together and voice our concerns, such as tree cover, air quality, transport, pesticides, new developments (Wimbledon Park), buildings height (Colliers Wood) and plastic pollution - to name a few! This is a joint event by Merton Friends of the Earth, Sustainable Merton and Merton Cyclist Group. Details of Free Electoral Debate Event: Date: Thurs 11 April 2024 Time: Entry at 7:15PM - Event from 7:30PM to 9PM Address: Wimbledon Library, Merton Arts Space, 35 Wimbledon Hill Road, SW19 7NB Merton FoE are asking local constituencies candidates to take our pledge to take climate and nature action.
