	"description": "At this year&#x27;s local elections in Mile Cross, the Green Party were the big risers as we saw the largest vote share increase of any party, more than doubling our vote share and going from a distant third to a strong second while Labour and Conservatives saw their vote share sink. Now it is time for us to win here in Mile Cross. Our team are out here working hard for residents whether that is helping with housing repairs, holding the council to account on their poor record on fly-tipping or getting things done for the whole community like new street signs, litterpicks and more. We will be meeting on Friday 15th September at 5pm at the Catherine Wheel pub as we head out to speak to voters in Mile Cross, asking them about what matters to them, letting them know about our hard work, and that we can win here. Mile Cross is a crucial ward for us, as a win here in this new ward will put us firmly on track to electing a Green-run council, something we need now more than ever as we see climate change causing destruction across the globe while the main parties are too busy making u-turns and fighting culture wars. A full briefing will be provided and if you are new to door-knocking, we can pair you up with a more experienced volunteer so please do come and get stuck in as we fight to win a Green Party councillor in Mile Cross!",
