We will be starting off 10am @ Moreland Station for a slow bike ride down Sydney Road before moving on to stage a peaceful demonstration and die-in, 11.30am @ Brunswick Town Hall. This is an inclusive, community-organised event and we invite all residents of Coburg and Brunswick and surrounding suburbs to participate and to learn more about how to get involved in Extinction Rebellion and demand emergency climate action. DEMANDS Tell the Truth: The Victorian State Government tell the truth about the climate and ecological crisis we are facing and declare a climate emergency. Act Now: The Victorian Government immediately adopt a radical emissions reduction target, one that will transition Victoria to a net-zero emissions economy by 2025, in line with a global red-line of 1.5°C of global heating.
