	"description": "Delegates, friends and community allies! You are invited to join the NWDLC Indigenous Standing Committee for a celebration marking National Indigenous History Month. We are honoured to begin with an opening by Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Elders Sam and Les George, followed by bannock and light refreshments. Come ready to learn and participate in Indigenous and Métis arts, crafts and music. The workshops feature beadmaking, wool weaving and drum making with song. Hank Williams from Səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ First Nation will facilitate a workshop on how Indigenous oils are made with local plants, attendees will receive a vial of oil. Everyone is welcome to this all ages event, registration in advance is required to ensure there are enough supplies. ***Drum making workshop*** Space is limited for the drum making workshop with Harvey Robinson - Klemtu Hereditary Chief &amp;amp; Drum Maker, if you interested please email admin@nwdlc.ca with &quot;drum workshop&quot; in the subject line.
