	"description": "As a new contract teacher, we would like to invite you to lunch and an afternoon workshop designed for those recently hired to contract positions. OSSTF will provide occasional teacher coverage for your afternoon classes. Doors will open at 11:00 am. Lunch will be laid out for 11:30 am, and we will begin the workshop at noon. Social time with refreshments will follow! Come and meet the District 24 OSSTF leadership team and learn important information about topics such as: The function and workings of OSSTF Your Collective Agreement How to maintain good standing with your employer and the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) The New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP) Annual Learning Plan (ALP) Short Term Educational Leave Plan (STEL) Sick Leave Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) Benefits Long Term Disability Plan (LTD) Wellness Supports WRDSB Self-Service Portal Ontario Teachers&#x27; Pension Plan (OTPP) Services of Educators Financial Group (EFG) As well, there will be lots of opportunities for questions and answers before we break for socializing with refreshments!
