"description": "Clean Shelter is a non-profit organization, registered and based in Germany, that seeks to alleviate the anguish of displacement while safeguarding communities against the threat of sanitary crisis. Founded in 2024 by Seba Abu-Daqa, a Palestinian living in Munich, and Tom Kellner, an Israeli living in Berlin, the organization was created as a response to the urgent sanitation needs and growing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Their mission is to provide immediate relief to displaced communities in Gaza by offering essential sanitation and shelter solutions, including tents, toilets, community structures, and access to clean water. With team members based in Gaza, Clean Shelter is able to function as a small, fast and flexible grassroots organization, able to reach displaced communities in Gaza in person and to offer real crisis relief in order to mitigate the devastating effects of displacement and war. Join UNH graduate students Kaylie Efstratiou, Eadie Pitino, and Devin Wilson for an in-depth overview of Clean Shelter’s achievements and impact on the Gaza Strip. About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future. There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.",
