	"description": "Please join the DC Electoral Working Group in phonebanking DC members for our chapter-endorsed candidates Janeese Lewis George for DC Mayor and Aparna Raj for the Ward 1 seat on DC Council. Both Janeese and Aparna are relying on grassroots donations to power their campaigns, and DC will match donations from residents 5:1, meaning a donation of $50 turns into $300 for the campaign—enough to pay for a day&#x27;s worth of literature for canvassing. Janeese is neck-and-neck with her opponent on donations, who is receiving max donation checks from corporations and wealthy donors. Aparna is about 110 maximum donors (who chip in $50!) away from reaching the public matching cap! Every chapter member you&#x27;re able to encourage to donate will be critical in getting Janeese and Aparna elected in June. We will meet in-person, and pizza will be provided. Please bring a charged phone and your laptop. No experience is necessary! We&#x27;ll have a script and folks there to support you as you make calls!
