	"description": "Reform UK -led Derbyshire County Council (DCC) has scrapped its Climate Change Strategy and replaced it with an Environmental Strategy which has removed any reference to the words ‘climate change’, ‘net zero’ or ‘renewables’. There was no consultation or debate about this in the council. The leader, Councillor Graves, stated on BBC Radio “I don’t actually agree that it is man made [climate change], but more importantly the UK is responsible for less than 1% of the world’s global environmental problems.” Please join Derbyshire Climate Coalition at a protest about this climate denial at County Hall, Matlock, 12.45-1.45pm on Wed 7 October. Meet at the back entrance to County Hall (above the carpark), Smedley Street, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG. If you would like to stay for the full Council meeting at 2pm there will be public questions as well as a motion debate, on DCC’s scrapping of their climate change strategy, led by the Green Party",
