Advertising agencies are complicit in Shell's crimes: by creating greenwash adverts featuring wind turbines and happy families plugging in electric cars, they help to conceal and condone Shell's mass-scale fossil fuel extraction, ecocide and devastation to communities. Adverts trick us into thinking Shell is 'green' and 'doing its bit'. We deserve to see what's really happening, not just fake adverts, so that together we can SHUT DOWN SHELL. We're going to the offices of one of Shell's key advertising agencies to make sure they know who they're working for, and demand that they drop Shell and stop cleaning up the public image of the world's worst polluters. This is a low risk, peaceful protest - with cake. The UK advertising industry was responsible for 208 million tonnes of CO2 in 2022 through the sales of products and companies it promotes - adding 32% to the emissions of every single person in the UK. Advertising has a lot to answer for. We need you to help us make a noise! Bring friends, placards, props. See you there.",
