Ready to take action for real change in our community? We’re forming a new grassroots organization dedicated to fighting for a more just system in our county. Prince George’s County faces serious challenges with overpolicing and mass incarceration that disproportionately impact our most vulnerable community members. These issues aren’t isolated problems—they’re symptoms of a capitalist system that prioritizes property and profit over human lives and dignity. The prison-industrial complex serves to maintain existing power structures by criminalizing poverty and controlling working-class communities, particularly communities of color. True public safety comes from meeting people’s material needs: housing, healthcare, education, and economic security. It’s time for organized, sustained action to address these systemic issues and build safer, more just communities for everyone. This is your chance to be part of something transformative from day one.
