	"description": "We will be looking back at 2021, learn and honour from folk we admire and can learn from. At a time when our country feels more divided than ever, too many of us appear able to even listen to people who we disagree with. Social media is increasingly a toxic swamp, where national heroes are subject to racist abuse and threats of violence, and women politicians, in particular, are subject to almost unbelievable levels of misogynist abuse. In the last five years we have seen two MPs killed as they attended their constituency surgeries, they were performing the core of their job, meeting constituents with problems and seeking to support them, and this is just the most extreme reflection of a wholly destructive direction of our national culture.But we know this can be reversed, up and down the country, people are working to bring their communities together, overcoming artificial barriers and building strong united communities, that are comfortable with their differences.The Ella Baker School is looking for partner organisations up and down the country to redouble our efforts to build bridges and to strengthen ordinary voices. Our approach will involve listening, disagreeing well, and identifying shared concerns ad aspirations.Join us as we say loud and clear, we have more in common than that which divides us.",
