LA City Councilmember Tim McOsker in CD15 (at the southernmost end of the city near the Port of LA) is the deciding vote on whether or not the City of LA will pass stronger rent control this fall. We will be asking tenants to sign a petition for his support. We will also be spreading the word about our statewide ballot initiatives like the YES ON PROP 33 campaign (to repeal Costa-Hawkins and enable stronger rent control statewide). This is a great event for new and experienced members alike! If you live in another council district we still need you-- McOsker&#x27;s vote will affect rent control in every council district of the city. Join us to learn more about how our city and state create the conditions for gentrification, and how we can fight ever-increasing rents.",
