"description": "The heritage transport expo is on! Join us for a ride to see some public transport from Sydney's past. We'll meet at Camdenville Park in St Peters where we'll have a good view of locomotive 3801 steam past on its first trip of the day before heading toward central. We'll make stops at the South Eveleigh train works and then Belmore park where we may be lucky enough to see some vintage busses drive along Hay St. Continuing up Castlereagh St we should see some vintage double deckers drive by before heading along Liverpool St to darling harbour to see either of the steam boats at the Maritime Museum wharves. Finally we'll head back along Wilson St and hopefully see another steam train pass from the Erskineville station bridge, finishing up back at Camdenville Park. You'll be guided by a guy who's toddler is a big Thomas fan and so has a passing knowledge of how steam engines work. Distance: 15.5km Time: ~2 hours Bring: working bike, helmet, suncream, water+snacks Suitable for: Riders of any age who are comfortable on a combination of shared paths, bike paths and quiet streets Route link: https://www.komoot.com/tour/3290087927",
