"description": "On September 8, thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us. In San Antonio, the climate justice movement has already moved our mayor and council to launch a climate action plan for the city. But we can't equivocate: San Antonio must declare our commitment to getting off fossil fuels. Climate Action SA has called on our leaders to commit to: No coal by 2025. Net zero energy by 2030. But—here in the most economically and racially segregated large city in the United States—we must also must press for a climate plan that prioritizes the needs of those who are most at risk from rapid climate change. For those who are least culpable for our climate crisis, but most vulnerable. As we re-create our economy based around sustainable principles, we are calling for jobs with justice. Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action.",
