	"description": "In collaboration with our friends at the MI-AFL-CIO, NETWORK is organizing a canvassing effort in MI-07 to help us better understand the concerns and priorities of Catholic voters. Please Note: You do NOT have to live in MI-07 to assist with this canvass! You do NOT have to be Catholic (just an enthusiastic supporter of NETWORK and our values!) to participate in this canvass! We will hold our first canvassing event on Saturday, June 20 in Lansing, MI. Participants should plan on arriving by 9 AM for a canvassing training. We want to make sure everyone feels fully equipped and confident! We will then send folks out in teams for 2 hours of canvassing. You will be provided with a simple script--designed to help you understand what is on the hearts and minds of Catholic voters in MI-07. The role of canvassers is to express curiosity--gathering information--rather than expressing their own opinions or judgement! We are there to learn. Everyone will return by noon for a debrief of your experience and pizza lunch. We expect to be done by 1 PM. Additional canvassing opportunities will be offered over the course of the summer.
