	"description": "Join DSA and our allies for a Meet &amp;amp; Greet in Hyattsville for one of our endorsed candidates for Prince George&#x27;s County Council, Shayla Adams-Stafford. In a major shift last year, Shayla won the special election for the District 5 seat on County Council. Since taking office Shayla has made strides towards fighting for community over profit. Before joining the Council, Shayla fought against developers and uplifted working families on the Prince George’s County School Board. To continue the fight for the people, Shayla must re-win her seat on Council. Election Day is June 23 and the race is coming down to the wire, what we do now determines whether a voice for the people remains on County Council. Address will be shared after RSVP. This event is a 5 min bus ride or 20 minute walk from the West Hyattsville Metro Station on the Green &amp;amp; Yellow Lines.
