	"description": "For weeks now, brave workers at multiple fruit-packing warehouses in the Yakima Valley have been on strike for improved workplace safety amid the coronavirus outbreak, greater transparency over COVID-19 cases at their facilities, hazard pay, and freedom from retaliation by their employers. Join us for a caravan action to support workers on strike at 2 fruit packing warehouses. They are going into their 4th week on strike and we need to show solidarity and that they have broad community support. The Yakima starting point will be from 11AM - 11:30AM at the Sarg Hubbard Park in Yakima (111 S 18th St, Yakima, WA) There will be various starting location from folks going from Seattle, TriCities &amp;amp; Spokane and more, please register to get the latest details emailed to you: Different Cities Caravan to Yakima INFO: • Seattle to Yakima Caravan --- We will leave from the parking lot of the QFC on Rainier Ave S. at 7:30am to caravan over to Yakima - Contact Ingrid Chapman from WSLC -ichapman@wslc.org • Tri-Cities to Yakima Caravan --- Info coming Program: Folks will start traveling from their cities and will caravan to Yakima to meet up at the Sarg Hubbard Park starting at 11AM where we will go over the demands of the workers, and ways to take action as we head to the 3 strike site locations. There will be speakers from the workers and allies who are working in solidarity. We will be providing food and drink for the workers and participants taking action. FOOD &amp;amp; DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED: Please bring signs of support, personal food and drinks, comfortable clothing for hot weather and your personal face mask. Please bring donations of water, food and masks for the workers.
