"description": "Zoom link will be sent when you RSVP. “How the Grid Really Works” Becoming Effective Renewable Energy Advocates Presented by: Tracy Wallace, Chair of the North Texas Renewable Energy Group While we support all sources of renewable energy, few citizens have an understanding of how solar energy fits into the electricity grid that supplies our power. Or is some cases, how it does not fit into the grid. For Texas citizens to be effective advocates for renewable energy, we need a deep understanding of how the grid works. Tracy has an extensive background in renewable energy as it relates to the grid, and is currently the chair of the North Texas Renewable Energy Group, an affiliate of the Texas Solar Energy Society. Thanks to Kathryn Guerra, TCEQ Watchdog for Public Citizen, for last months presentation: “How to Squeeze the TCEQ, a Reluctant Regulator” - view her slides. About Tracy Wallace Tracy Wallace is a justice warrior—environmental, social, economic—who believes access and equity are the cures to poverty.
