"description": "You are invited to The PEOPLE’S ROUNDTABLE, a live, in-person event and conversation that WAMC’s The Roundtable could be having if they included voices that represented the racial and ideological diversity of their listeners. Registration link in bio. Over the past year, the Truth & Justice For Palestine Coalition began looking at the way WAMC’s The Roundtable covered current events, and why. We found that the show was talking in circles, featuring US and Israel military affiliated experts 103 times, having 77% of panels featuring all white guests, and more. The panel will be moderated by former WAMC Roundtable panelist, Barbara Smith and include the following panelists: Kasey Charles, Bebhinn Francis, Farah Momen, and Eduardo Rodríguez. This will be an in-person event with a virtual option available. The event will be on April 18th from 2pm to 4pm in the Albany Public Library, Washington Branch: Large Auditorium (161 Washington Ave). Parking is available. This is a mask-required event!",
