	"description": "As COP21 gets under way in Paris, ostensibly to prevent the largest crisis of our time, the Obama administration is embarking on a spin campaign in an attempt to sell the benefits of the TPP both to Congress and the people. Yet, the TPP fails, in its 5,600 pages, to reference the words climate change even once. Virtually all environmental groups have sounded alarms after reading the text, and have reached a startling consensus: if the TPP and companion bill, TTIP pass, many island and sub-Saharan populations will simply die.The 2 degree C goal set by the wealthy nations of the UN talks is insufficient and will lead to further sea level rise, flooding, drought, and more frequent extreme weather events.  All affected countries are calling for a more realistic goal of 1.5 degrees temperature rise, which is why we must stop the TPP and TTIP.
