"description": "The 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, Wed., April 22, is the first of a youth-led, 3-day mass mobilization across the country. We begin with a nonpartisan, demonstration of our collective power and unity with millions of young people and adults participating in thousands of strikes and Earth Day events. On this historic day of climate action, we are recognizing people of color as the frontline victims of climate change, centering Indigenous people’s leadership and wisdom, reflecting on our own personal connections to the Earth, and recommitting ourselves to the movement. We gather at Millennium Plaza at 3 pm for speeches and music, and at approximately 3:45 pm we head out on a peaceful sidewalk march to Performance Park where there will be educational materials, speeches, music and a voter registration booth.",
