	"description": "UW Kegonsa is a collaborative solar installation between UW Madison and Alliant Energy. The installation features three types of ground mount racking – fixed-tilt, elevated fixed-tilt and single axis tracking. The site is a working laboratory for multiple UW Madison schools: Atmospheric Science, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Agriculture, etc. Tour will cover design, civil and electrical engineering, installation challenges, interconnection, and solar production. For all attendees: Please park on the WEST side of the parking (see marked red area) to minimize interference with SPL operations. We will meet on the grass west of the parking lot (see marked red area) and walk to the array (~1000’). All attendees must sign the safety form for the location. PPE must be worn inside the array fenced area – hard hat, high visibility vest, safety glasses, long sleeves, closed toe shoes. Westphal &amp;amp; Company will provide vests, hard hats and glasses This a working utility solar array – safety is the utmost priority. Ground inside the array is uneven, with plants, gravel and other obstacles. It is not allowable to touch any part of the installed array during the tour. In event of lightning, the group will immediately exit the array and the tour will be suspended. SunDay is a global day of action on September 21st, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We’ll come together to showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution.",
