We are looking for “counting agents” for the 8th May to represent the local Green Party, slap on a rosette, and watch our votes pile up. Having lots of counting agents shows the other parties we are serious and also means we can make sure that the count is fair. All our target and paper candidates will be there. So, with you joining in, we’ll be out in force and making democracy work. More than anything, you’ll be amongst the first to know that we have won. Join in with existing and new Councillors as they find out the results and celebrate alongside them! The details Being a counting agent is an official role so signing up here is just telling us you want to get involved. We’ll get in touch telling you more about the requirements and how to register fully. You will need to: give your name and address be free from conflict of interest (such as performing another role in the election) be free from a disqualification from voting Counting takes place during working hours so, if you work, you will need to book the day off. How long it takes depends on quite a few things but it would be unusual for it run later than 16.30. Lunch is not provided so you’ll need to bring something to eat and drink (and be prepared to celebrate with a bit of cake too!).",
