Over the last year, the WV Department of Health and Human Resources, Office of Drug Control Policy and the Governor’s Council on Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment have overseen implementation of the WV 2021 Substance Use Response Implementation Plan. The purpose of the virtual Town Hall Meetings is to provide an overview of year 2 progress and solicit feedback regarding updates to the plan for year 3. There were 8 public Town Hall Meetings that each focused on a section of the plan. This meeting is being held for people with lived experience with a substance use disorder, either living in recovery or not, to give feedback based on their unique experiences. To protect the anonymity of this group this meeting is held apart from the Governor’s Council, however, all comments and feedback will be recorded and shared with that group. During this meeting we will review the entire year 3 action plan and discuss general feedback and suggestions, things that are missing, and overall strengths of the plan.
