It will overturn a giveaway clause in the tax code that siphons billions of dollars a year to large commercial property owners and wealthy investors, and will invest that capital to fund K-12 public schools and community colleges as well as local public services like parks, libraries, homeless services, health clinics, and public transit. California is the wealthiest state in the wealthiest country in the world, but the vast riches of our state are hoarded by the capitalist class. We know they won’t give up their wealth - wealth created by ordinary working Californians - without a fight!",
