"description": "15 Bank of America customers have requested a meeting with the Bank of America - Seattle President, Kerri Schroeder, so that they can present on & discuss concerns about BOA’s fossil fuel financing. To date, BOA's Seattle President has refused to meet with the customers. We're organizing this sign-on letter for BOA customers based in Rhode Island so that they can add their names in support of the customers' concerns. To add your name to the letter, please complete this form. ____________________________ Dear Ms. Schroeder, Bank of America - Seattle President We are writing as Bank of America customers based in the Rhode Island area. We are greatly alarmed that Bank of America continues to finance fossil fuel corporations that are expanding their coal, oil and gas operations. Since 2015, Bank of America has provided $232 billion in financing to the corporations driving the climate crisis: the coal, oil, and gas companies that have spent forty years funding climate denial, fighting climate policy, and electing climate deniers to office. It has come to our attention that a group of fifteen Bank of America customers has requested a meeting with you to discuss Bank of America’s financing of the fossil fuel industry and resulting role in the climate crisis ― and that to date, you have failed to respond to them. As fellow Bank of America customers based in the Seattle and Puget Sound region, we urge you to meet with these customers and to listen to their concerns. The fact that Bank of America is deeply complicit in the climate crisis should be of the utmost importance to you, and everyone at Bank of America. We look forward to hearing how the conversation proceeds from here. Sincerely, Your Rhode Island Customers",
