In advance of this vote, the steering committee is hosting a Zoom Town Hall, open to members in good standing, where we will discuss what it means for socialists and/or abolitionists to endorse folks with a formal relationship to the carceral state. This is a non-binding discussion that seeks to open lines of communication between members, to allow members perspectives to be heard, and attempt to deepen our knowledge and consensus as an organization.
