That&#x27;s why we&#x27;re sending a message to corporations: To all the corporations to ever exist – we are watching and we are waiting, and history will take note of your stance. Beyond posting a statement acknowledging Juneteenth, commit to moving the needle on Black liberation. Instead of selling Juneteenth-branded items, donate to a Black organization or partner with one to fuel their efforts. Instead of exploiting us and our past, help advance our future. Without reparations, the structural discrimination that purposely holds Black people back will continue to thrive. We urge you to use your platform for the better – to advance the very communities you have greedily taken advantage of for far too long. There is no better time than now to publicly and fully endorse reparations. As a consumer, I’ll be making choices with my wallet based on which companies go beyond hollow statements and towards true actions that invest in Black communities.
