ABOUT THE ROLE AIW is looking for a creative and skillful digital strategist with the drive and expertise to run effective digital campaigns. We need someone adaptable to the ever-changing Wisconsin political climate and can build content collaboratively and independently. Ultimately, we are looking for someone excited about the opportunity to guide and define a brand new organization’s digital program. The Digital Strategist will play an integral role in helping AIW develop a thriving digital program infrastructure. They will be responsible for creating and overseeing digital strategies and content to motivate and grow targeted digital audiences. Part of that will include creating digital assets (social media content, digital toolkits, strategy documents, ads, etc.) for AIW’s digital properties and resources that our partner organizations can tailor for their use. Responsibilities Lead the coordination, planning, and creation of digital assets - including digital content, paid ads, strategy documents, social media toolkits and digital plans. Use digital tools to build AIW’s brand and the content’s presence, quality, and reach on social media (especially on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). Manage AIW’s email program (Action Network), including maintaining multiple lists, an email calendar and drafting, building and distributing emails to our lists. Maintain and update the AIW website. Identify creative opportunities to use digital to support or improve our partners’ campaigns on the ground. Become deeply familiar with Race Class Narrative research and messaging insights and integrate them into our work. Coordinate and work with different vendors and contractors on digital projects. Design and implement a regular reporting process and otherwise support evaluating the results of digital campaigns and promoting data-driven decision-making. Track changes to the digital landscape (the tools and technology available, the platforms’ behavior, etc.), and identify opportunities for AIW and our partners to innovate or adopt new best practices. Desired Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience using social media, digital advertising, and other digital tools in an organizational context to engage people and mobilize them to take action Excellent communications skills and the ability to quickly draft sharp, persuasive and well-messaged copy for a variety of audiences Expertise in a range of digital tools and tactics, with a keen understanding of the various ways to leveraged different campaign contexts Ability to design and layout basic social media content and resources using programs like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Canva Basic comfort level using HTML and experience using various CMS and email marketing tools like Squarespace and Action Network Experience working in a remote team environment A strong commitment to racial and economic justice ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a full-time salaried position with an annual salary of $60,000-$70,000. Due to COVID-19, work will be remote until coworking can safely resume. Our strong benefits package includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement matching, and a generous vacation allowance.",
