	"description": "Interested in stepping up to a leadership position within the Greater Hartford Branch? We are currently accepting nominations for Connecticut DSA&#x27;s Greater Hartford Organizing Committee for the 2026-2027 term. Please be aware, the leadership roles available are subject to change following potential passage of Bylaw Amendments during the Convention. The submission of nominations will be open until June 19th, 2026. A minimum of 6 branch Organizing Committee positions are open including: Two (2) co-chairs - public leadership of the branch, responsible for convening and presiding over OC meetings and general branch membership meetings One (1) secretary - manages the membership list, branch correspondence and inquiries, and note- and minute-taking for both the OC and general membership meetings Three (3) at-large members - assist the other officers in the fulfillment of their responsibilities and the coordination and growth of the Branch and it&#x27;s projects. As per our new branch bylaw resolution passed at our 5/28 meeting, the Branch Rep position reporting to steering will now be rotated among the above OC members on a monthly basis. If you are interested in running, please fill out this form to provide information about yourself to the broader membership including why you think you would be a good candidate for the OC. You can read more detailed information on the responsibilities of each position in our bylaws, as reviewed and subject to approval by the national DSA. Elections Process &amp;amp; Eligibility Any member in good standing can run for an Organizing Committee position. An STV method will be used in order to conduct the election. Greater Hartford Branch nomination period shall close on June 19th. During our next branch meeting scheduled for June 25th, we will host panels for those running to engage with voting membership. The night of our branch meeting, Electronic Ballots will be sent out to members eligible to vote. Ballots will remain open until midnight July 2nd.",
