	"description": "Are you an atheist, agnostic, freethinking, or non-religious person? Are you also a humanist? Did you know there used to be a humanist group in Jackson, Mississippi? Unfortunately the main organizer moved out-of-state years ago, and the group no longer exists. I think we should start a new one! My name is Elizabeth Hegwood and I&#x27;m the chapter president of Gulf Coast Humanists, the Mississippi State Director for American Atheists, and the American Humanist Association&#x27;s 2025 Volunteer of the Year. Gulf Coast Humanists has had 800% growth in just one year and has accomplished a lot! I think you could do that in Jackson, too. I&#x27;d like like to help you start a Jackson humanist group. We&#x27;ll need to meet on Zoom or Google Meet to talk, since I&#x27;m on the Coast, but I can give you everything you need to start a humanist group in Jackson. There are more humanists around you than you think.
