Together, we are standing up and fighting for a better workplace. BPLO is a democratic, worker-led Union that only exists because some Post-Docs who wanted to fight for change at Brown decided to create it! As a Union, Brown is legally obligated to listen to our demands and negotiate a contract with us. Without our Union, Brown would make all of the decisions about how Post-Docs and Researchers are treated and compensated. But with our Union, we can have a say at the bargaining table about our pay, work hours, responsibilities, and the critical support non-citizen workers need.
