	"description": "The Las Vegas DSA Comrades With Kids Section seeks to carve and promote a space within the socialist movement for parents and caregivers of our community. We aim to support one another as organizers of working families in an austere economic environment. We seek to empower parents and caregivers to join us as socialists and help coordinate organizing throughout the chapter’s work. Caregivers and parents are often faced with the precarious balance of time, money, and energy while trying to organize under an increasingly volatile, capitalistic society. Organizing and collective action can seem out of reach for caregivers as their main priority are their children and dependents. Membership within Las Vegas DSA lacks parent and caregiver representation which perpetuates a cycle of caregivers feeling set-apart from their dependent-less comrades. Our goal is to advocate for work that invites, encourages, and maintains membership of caregivers and parents - allowing them a space to commiserate with other caregivers and push for socialist ideals with their available capacity.
