That&#x27;s why the End Medical Debt Maryland coalition exists. We are a coalition of unions, churches, and other organizations that are working together to pass legislation in the Maryland General Assembly in spring 2021 that will limit the amount for which hospitals are allowed to sue and put in place other safeguards to protect patients.
