"description": "ECs/ESSs have given a clear mandate. (add blurb from email with the vote results) With this in mind, article committees have been set up for you to help develop new and revised language for your collective agreement and proposals that could change your working conditions! The time commitment is modest, but your contribution will make a meaningful difference at the table in 2026/27. Take this opportunity to make a real difference in your working conditions and the future of your profession. Sign up now for one or more EC/ESS article committees: Telework/remote work/flexibility of location Technology Compensation, overwork, and affordability Job Security and Professional Development Leave The only requirement is that you be an EC or ESS and willing to take part in the discussion. This is your first opportunity to participate in the bargaining process on a large scale. You have until 5 p.m. (EDT) on (date) to submit your name. Each committee will focus on creating or amending a particularly important article of the collective agreement. Based on the issues identified, committee members will discuss potential solutions that best meet the needs of ECs and ESSs. Each committee will be co-chaired by two members of the EC/ESS Bargaining Committee, with support from CAPE staff. The first phase of the process will involve two meetings: One will last 4hrs and one will last 2hrs, and will result in the identification of key issues to develop bargaining proposal language and make a recommendation to the EC/ESS Bargaining Committee. During negotiations, the AC will provide feedback and support mobilization when bargaining deals with the issues within its mandate. The Bargaining Committee has identified 5 issues that it considers especially important for ECs and ESSs, but that does not mean our other priorities will not be addressed. The EC/ESS Bargaining Committee will be drafting the proposals, based on the bargaining platform you approved, the bargaining survey results, and the issues raised through hundreds of conversations between ECs and ESSs. The final package will provide a complete picture of the gains we need in this round If you have any questions, send an email to: (waiting on email to use)",
