On May 22nd, 2021, Kanehsata:ke Land Defenders and their allies demonstrated. They want a moratorium on real estate development, which encroaches on Kanien&#x27;keha:ka territory. Three hundred years since this began, the government must settle the situation by consulting the original title holders to the land, the women of Kanehsata:ke, members of the Long House People. Much of the work has been supported by the use of a mailing list.
