	"description": "Rising temperatures threaten our way of life, and the science is clear: every fraction of a degree we prevent now protects Rhode Island later. The choices we make today determine how much future warming we lock in. We’re already taking action — pushing clean-energy projects forward, countering misinformation, showing up at critical hearings, and delivering community climate education. This work reduces emissions now, which is the only real path to slowing future warming. Before the end of the year, we’re aiming to raise $10,000 to power community-driven climate action in Rhode Island. The solutions exist — and the work we’re doing every day helps turn those solutions into real progress in Rhode Island. We’re pushing hard, but we can’t meet the moment without more hands, more capacity, and more resources. Your support is the only way we can scale the work that limits future warming and protects our communities. Together, we can bring the temperature down. What Your Gift Supports $25 — Strengthens message sharing. Supports printed flyers, promotional materials for community events, and other resources that help us get our message out locally. $50 — Expands climate education. Funds research, educational materials, and climate messaging that help Rhode Islanders understand the issues and the solutions. $100 — Supports our volunteers. Covers the staff time needed for volunteer onboarding, coordination, training, and preparing people to testify and raise consistent climate voices. $250 — Powers coalition strategy. Helps us coordinate actions, align messaging, and collaborate with partner groups working toward clean energy and climate justice. $500 — Builds community. Supports our public education events, community gatherings, and workshops that bring people together to take effective climate action. $1,000 — Increases our team capacity. Provides the time and tools our small staff needs to run steady, high-impact actions — and helps us build toward expanding our team in the coming year. $2,500 — Advances long-term climate leadership. Provides major support for strategic planning, sustained organizing, and building the durable movement Rhode Island needs to limit future warming. Every degree matters, Every dollar counts.
