	"description": "Solidarity with the Iraqi labor movement continues to be a central part of the U.S. Labor Against the War agenda. U.S. troops may no longer be engaged in active combat in Iraq, but the mess the U.S. has created continues to burden the Iraqi people. We have an obligation to carry forward our solidarity with the Iraqi people, especially those in Iraqi unions. USLAW has been invited to send a delegation to a major international solidarity conference in Baghdad, January 31 - February 3, 2019. This is an opportunity to meet and deepen our ties with leaders of Iraqi and Kurdish trade unions, as well as leaders of the Iraqi women&#x27;s movement, environmentalists, and youth activists. Your donation will help USLAW raise the $10,000 needed for travel expenses for a delegation of five, including a documentary film maker. (Anything raised in excess of expenses will be donated to Iraqi unions.) Please step up support this important work.
