	"description": "On November 10th, climate activists from New York Communities for Change, Sunrise NYC, and Scientist Rebellion NYC blocked the entrance to Teterboro Airport, the largest private airport in the US. They joined others in shutting down private airports across the country and abroad, protesting the obscene emissions of private jets during an accelerating climate crisis and the 1 percenters that catch these flights while ordinary people face cost-of-living crises and skyrocketing inequality. 7 of our activists were arrested for their act of civil disobedience. Going through the local Moonachie Municipal Court, our activists&#x27; cases were heard by a very anti-protest, conservative judge and a prosecutor who pushed for the maximum possible fine as part of our plea deal.
