"description": "Peaches to the polls works to build community awareness for all elections from presidential to local. By incorporating arts + culture with civic engagement Peaches to the Polls will be the CultureCon bloc party for elections in Atlanta. Peaches to the Polls is a non-partisan partner initiative. Center for Common Ground is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to Center for Common Ground are tax-deductible. Peaches to the Polls is a new initiative from Evan Malbrough, founder of the Georgia Youth Poll Worker Project and Diamond Bradley, founder of Primary Movement. Their goal is a simple one: to engage Georgia youth from18- 26 to register and vote. Provide resources to attendees about the upcoming election, how to get involved, while engaging in fun activities. Using art and self-care as a hook, Peaches to the Polls educates and motivates 18 to 24 year old community of color voters to become involved with both elections and voting. From November through January they will sponsor workshops, art viewings, brunch. Events include a private viewing of the entire Center for Civil and Human Rights for local grassroots organizers, leaders, activists, and entrepreneurs in Atlanta. The Center for Civil Human Rights highlights local activist Dr. Martin Luther King personal books and speeches from Morehouse College. and also depicts the Civil Right Movement and the lunch counter sit-ins.",
