"description": "University Administration has continuously failed to provide clear answers outlining how federal funding requirements will be maintained given the removal of equity, diversity, and inclusion measures from the draft recruitment policy. It is unacceptable to leave critical details about maintaining key research funding up in the air. Our university must maintain compliance for EDI expectations established by major funding programs, such as the Canada Research Chair Program. Take action to protect UAlberta research funding by sending a letter to the Board of Governors urging them to reject the draft recruitment policy. All letters are also copied to President Bill Flanagan and Provost Verna Yiu.",
