"description": "Dear President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian leaders and soldiers, and to the people of Ukraine, I am sorry that, as an ally, our US leadership has let you down. The United States has been a beacon for democracy, fighting against tyranny since its inception. We are a staunch supporter of NATO and stand for freedom, not fascism. It has been almost three months since President Biden sent a request to House Speaker Mike Johnson, requesting aid for Ukraine, only to be rebuked. Now, there is reporting that Ukrainian soldiers are rationing bullets because of a lack of support from the US, which is unacceptable. Furthermore, a senior defense official indicated that "unless Congress passes the Defense Department's supplemental funding request, Ukraine will not be able to defend itself against Russian aggression." Senator Schumer recently stated, "We can't afford to wait a month, two months, or three months to supply Ukraine because we would, in all likelihood, lose the war." I am deeply disappointed that our House Leader, Mike Johnson, and other MAGA Republicans are prioritizing political games over the national security of both the US and Ukraine. It appears as though they are aligning themselves with Russia and Putin, seemingly advocating for a conflict that puts our young servicemen and servicewomen in harm's way. Can you take 1 (one) minute and sign on to our letter of support for Ukraine? It is being directed to the President, Vice-President, and Congressional leadership. A copy of the letter with your first name and state will be sent to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. https://actionnetwork.org/letters/dear-president-volodymyr-zelenskyy or https://bit.ly/DearZelenskyyandUkraine #PeoplePowerUnited",
