"description": "It is critically important that the U.S. remains competitive in the global race to electrify transportation. Unfortunately, North Carolina Representative Tim Moore and the House of Representatives passed legislation that will eliminate key tax policies that support EV manufacturing, limiting our ability to catch up to China . This legislation will put key electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing investments in North Carolina at risk of being postponed or canceled, costing the state jobs. Federal tax policies are spurring hundreds of billions in private sector investments and creating nearly a quarter-million jobs in the electric vehicle manufacturing supply chain. The state of North Carolina alone will lose upwards of 6,000 jobs in the EV manufacturing supply chain if this legislation becomes law. Please take action immediately to urge North Carolina Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd to defend EV policies and support the economic impact the EV industry is having in North Carolina.",
