Unfortunately, the current plans to distribute one time money to schools, Senate Study Bill 1159 and House Study Bill 184, are not equitable and even go so far as to penalize those districts that followed the Governor’s emergency proclamation orders and the Iowa Department of Education guidance to the letter. Write your state representative and state senator today and ask them to distribute the one time supplement funding equitably, based on enrollment. To do otherwise would further exacerbate funding inequities across the state during this challenging time. Our students deserve to be treated fairly and equitably.",
