And for 22 million people without workplace insurance coverage who rely on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, 2026 premiums will soar unless Congress votes to extend, or make permanent, the tax credits that keep ACA premiums affordable. With the tax credits set to expire at the end of 2025, and open enrollment for the ACA starting on November 1, Congress must act this month when they vote on the continuing resolution (CR). This summer, funds for vital safety net programs like Medicaid were slashed in the Republican budget to create billions of dollars in new tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy. Now, Congress must act for We the People--instead of the wealthy. They can protect affordable health care for 22 million seniors, small business owners, students, and others, if they vote to expand ACA tax credits in the CR. Will you let your Members of Congress know that they must vote to make the enhanced premium tax credits permanent and protect affordable access to healthcare in the CR?",
