It’s time to rally to show solidarity to the workers at Code for America who are organizing for a fair second contract! Workers at Code for America, a civic tech non-profit, organized their union in 2022 with OPEIU AFL-CIO and ratified their first contract on October 27, 2023. This contract expires on December 31, 2025. Since June, workers have been negotiating for a fair contract, asking for incremental improvements to their current agreement. Despite these reasonable requests, Management has demanded concessions in basic benefits, including major reductions to time off - including religious floating holidays, parental leave, and reductions in annual wage increases. Please help us ensure workers at Code for America secure a fair contract by sending this letter to Code for America Executive Team as well as the Members of the Code for America Board of Directors. Workers at Code for America are fighting to maintain basic benefits. Together, we can urge key decision makers at Code for America to support a fair contract that provides workers with dignity.
