In this moment, we need your energy and enthusiasm for these bills to push them across the finish line. ✅ A Brief Recap These bills allow faith institutions and certain nonprofits to build affordable housing by-right on land they own. By cutting red tape and removing subjective approval processes, these bills deliver more affordable homes, faster. Projects built under this legislation require that at least 60% of homes be affordable. SB 388 passed the Senate 21-19 and House 60-36! HB 1279 passed the House 60-36 and the Senate 21-19! The bills now head to a conference committee, and we need your voice to help us finish strong! We need the conferees to remove the re-enactment (delay!) clause.
